My name is Mitchell Farley and I am the Owner/Broker of Almost FREE Realty, Inc.
Let me begin by giving you some information about myself. I spent years working at one of the most dominant firms in Minnesota and I enjoyed my life as well as my career path. I realized that I was earning a good living (which I liked) by charging my clients an arm and a leg (which I disliked) and thought there must be a better way for everyone. I just didn't know what that would be. Until one day, as luck would have it I was having lunch with a Minneapolis businessman, who pointed out the most successful business's around provide incentives, cost cutting and volume discounts for their customers. Specifically, he said Minnesota consumers are some of the most thrifty, loyal do-it-yourself people in the nation, and that I would need to offer a service so good that it wouldn't make sense for them not to do business with me. He said they are loyal, which I knew to be true. Once you have their loyalty and you do right by them, they will remain a customer for life and tell others about your service.
That night, I took a long hard look at the way I was operating my real estate business as well as the industry as a whole. I realized, although I provided a very necessary service to my customers, I could provide the same service for much less $$. In essence, for a very basic service I charged 6-7% of my customers hard earned equity Equity that took many years to earn, when the same service could be provided at little or no cost
I had a revelation that night and decided to change the way I was operating. I realized I could do better by my customers and give them what they wanted. A 0% Commission Free Home Sale and not sacrifice my income level one bit. The secret was to make it up in volume by filling a unique market niche.
By having a unique 0% Listing fee I was able to attract many more home sellers than ever before and they would in turn buy their next home with me. The seller of the home they were buying paid my commission. Almost FREE Realty, Inc. was born.
So I set out to change the real estate business forever. I gathered a small group of successful agents from some of the top firms in Minnesota and opened my door for business.
And trust me folks, the days of 6-7% commission listings are about to become a thing of the past. Those agents are about to become extinct, they are dinosaurs.
The statistics are hard and fast. The MLS and Internet sells homes. Period. No magic. Tell the agent to put his/her slick multi-colored charts and graphs away and save the sales pitch.
Let's think about this for a minute. If the agent you're interviewing claims to be the best in the business (which they all do) then why do they only charge 6-7%? After all, that is the same commission rate a brand new agent without even a single sale under their belt charges!
[The fact is, every agent provides basically the same service. You may get some additional bells and whistles from the agent that has more experience, but your home is still worth only what it is worth. Despite the claims of over enthusiastic agents they will not sell your home for more than it is worth.] The "Market" will determine what your home will sell for! And no one can sell your home for more than its market value! Why? The answer is really quite simple, think of it as if you were the buyer, would you pay more than market value for a home?
The cold hard fact is this. The most work that your agent will do is in trying to convince you that he/she is the best in the business and sell you on his/her service to secure your listing. Once your home is listed the agent is already looking for more homes to list and is pretty much all done with you. The agent then enters your home into the MLS system and on the Internet and prays and prays that another agent from the MLS writes an offer so that your agent can present you with something, anything to validate the 6-7% commission rate they are charging you.

We will personally come into your home, inspect your amenities, show you what comparable homes have sold for and then we will leave the decision up to you!
